I think this may be a bit of an internet oldie, But Black Cab Sessions is worth another or maybe a first look. Artists play some of their hit songs or just freestyle it in the back of cabs in the U.K., so far there are 50 sessions and growing. The latest was one by the Cool Kids a somewhat indie hip-hop group that’s pretty up and coming which you may recognize from some of the rhapsody commercials. Cold War Kids, Spoon, and The Kooks to name some of my favourite artists which have recorded in the back of cabs. Oh did i mention that these are music videos? probably pretty important to mention.

New “Gorillaz” Album
August 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I am a pretty big fan of the Gorillaz and am very stoked that there is a new album about to be release. Has been a long time since Demon Days (and yes I am very aware that there were both G sides and D sides, but frankly they just don’t count) and am really happy they the crew has came up with a new one.
You may be wondering the reason for the quotes around Gorillaz in the title. Well it isn’t technically a Gorillaz album, it’s from the creators of the Gorillaz and I am assuming that it’s essentially the same thing with a new name and hopefully some new style. Not that Gorillaz isn’t pure greatness but something new is always good. Anyways the new album is called Monkey: Journey to the West and is apparently based on the opera which premiered at Manchester International Festival in 2007 and which will open at Royal Opera House in London on Wednesday, July 23rd. With lyrics based on ancient Chinese texts and performed in Mandarin, the album has been recorded in London and Beijing over the last twelve months.
Sounds very cool and am excited for it when it drops on the August 18th
